When I began studying jewelrymaking after a 20-year career as a clothes designer in Japan, I   learned more about myself than I ever had in my previous work.  As I was new to the English language, I felt my work could express myself better than words.  Having a professional sense of design and style, making jewelry was almost a natural extension of my interests.

Now with elements like silver, turquoise, coral, and pearls, I can turn my ideas into finished pieces that reflect my observations of nature and life, which come to me in many ways.  I feel that the future of my design is only limited by the imagination.
